Jess Franco's Favourite Starlet
Katja Bienert was famous as a soft-core movie starlet and centrefold in the 1980s. Born in Berlin, she made her screen debut in the German teen-movie Treffpunkt Zoo and took up glamour modelling shortly after. Click on the Gallery link to view pictures from Katja's naked portfolio.
Katja's second movie was Schulmadchen Report (Schoolgirl Report). In this 'drama-documentary' nudity and simulated sex were employed to illustrate a cautionary tale about over-active teenage hormones. It brought Katja to the notice of cult movie director Jess Franco.
Franco took her to Spain to appear in a series of sexploitation movies, including Cannibal World, Perversions of Eugenie and Super-Witches of the Rio Amore. In four years, Katja made eight movies with Franco
and a few were released in Britain and the US. Her full filmography is listed in the Internet Movie Database.
Katja is now in her late thirties. She has retired from modelling and is not making any new films, although she still appears occasionally on German TV. The pictures in the Gallery will remind older fans of when Katja was at her most gorgeous. They should also create many new fans from among those too young to remember her movies.
